Ken, Craig and Cris the angler

I had the pleasure of taking a Canadian group on a friends 26' tower boat on Sat the 22nd. Ken Craig and their buddy Cris were all part of the adventure. The live bait inshore were nonexistent so we headed out with what we had. The natural bottom north toward the Registery Resort was pretty good. There were no keeper Grouper, but we were not looking for food; so that made life easier for me. The King fish and Barracuda were all over the bait on one of my wrecks off shore. We got the big one after a few misses, but that's why you keep trying. The day was breezy and that kept the heat down and the sun was shining hard. It was a great day with lots of Loggerhead turtles to look at and we called it a day at 2:30 and made out way back to the dock to clean up the Mackerel.

Permit are here

I fished with Capt.Tom Robinson,Ja,Mike and Kirt on Thursday the 20th. we got some white bait at the head pin and headed offshore to see what the day would bring. The Red Grouper were on fire and we limited out in two hours. The wreck fishing produced some nice snapper and a few Jew Fish and after about an hour and a half we moved on. Permit are here and with the two crab we picked up on the way proved to be monumental. The Dollar crab did not last but a minute before being engulfed by a 20lbs permit and the battle was on. We had another on but it got into the wreck and got away. That was the end of our day and everyone on the boat was feeling like you do after an awesome day on the water.

July the 9th

The fish are biting and the bait is plentiful. A huge Leopard ray jumped almost into the boat after taking a live shiner in Gordons Pass. Heading south toward Little Marco the wind was out of the south at 13 mph. I fished with Teresa A,Steve S,Barry H And Steve G. Jack,Snook, lady fish, and trout made the trip eventful and everyone had an interesting experience to say the least on a beautiful day.

I fished on the Sea Leggs with capt Tommy Robinson on Wednesday 17th of March. After catching a few dozen pin fish for bait we continued on till the water got deep(for the Gulf). The snapper and Amber jack were on attack. Jim Perkins,Treynor,Thil and Logan Jones were worked for the entire trip and I think everyone will talk about this one for a while (Just happy its not cold anymore)

20lbs Gag Grouper

I had the pleasure of fishing with some good old boys, one of whom stone crabbed out of Everglades City. Shawn,John, and Jermay fished with Capt Tom Robinson and myself on Tuesday the 19th. In my 20 years of being active in professional fishing I have never had to turn the boat around because a customer was sooo drunk he couldn't fish. We left the dock before sunup because we had an afternoon trip and within ten minutes John was heading back to his hotel room at the Cove Inn. Offshore was great, the seas were calm the water was warming up the fish were biting.
